2.1 Types and Designs of Goshuin (Shrine Seals) at Ikukunitama Shrine
The goshuin at Ikukunitama Shrine features a solemn design with the words “Ikukunitama Shrine” boldly written in ink in the center, accompanied by a red seal. It’s a dignified goshuin befitting an ancient shrine representing Osaka, and is popular as proof of worship.

Furthermore, limited-edition goshuin are sometimes distributed to coincide with seasons and festivals. Especially during events like “Hatsumode” (New Year’s visit), “Summer Ikukunitama Festival,” and “Hikohachi Festival,” special goshuin appear, making them precious mementos for goshuin enthusiasts.

Goshuin can also be obtained at subsidiary shrines within the grounds. For example, the goshuin for “Tsuru-no-Mori Inari Shrine (matchmaking)” and “Shigino Inari Shrine (business prosperity)” are popular with worshippers seeking their respective blessings. Ikukunitama Shrine is an indispensable spot for goshuin pilgrimages within Osaka City.

2.3 Goshuincho (Shrine Seal Books) and Visiting Etiquette
Ikukunitama Shrine also offers original design goshuincho. With their calm, traditional Japanese designs, they are popular even among those collecting goshuin for the first time.

🔸The proper etiquette for receiving a Goshuin (temple/shrine stamp) is as follows:
1.Always complete your prayers before requesting a Goshuin.
2.Understand that a Goshuin is proof of your visit, not a stamp rally.
3.Receive it quietly and with gratitude at the shrine office.
It is important to follow these three points. Especially since many people visit as tourists, let’s not forget to show respect to the gods through the Goshuin.
